I agree with poster.I have first lived in Utah and Colorado during the last 10 years and never put chains on my car. If you already have channels to carry with you. If not, do not buy any measure store them in a box or car parts can be bought on the street when the time becomes a reality bad.Late January or February might be different, but the first week in December is not something that worries me ... There are also system on all major routes, which warns against snow or weather warnings, allowing you ample opportunity to stop purchasing channels and you must feel. .. smaller, rural secondary RoaDS may be an exception.

Situation in Northern California.? SF or farther north? I'll give you a good plan if you specify a little more.
Also as a point .. Join the AAA auto club. Take advantage of many of your questions and provide security and substantial discounts at nearly every place to stop. Just show your AAA card and you'll be surprised how many places will reduce your price! And ... You never go into the DMV again!
