Retaining wall question? - retaining wall posts

I built a wall of plywood to go around my pool. I far the posts 4 feet and 2 feet from the edge of my pool. We had a lot of rain this month and the wall gave way in the pool and almost touching. Has anyone any idea what I do? The ground is frozen and is now out of clay, usually red. Yes, I know it sucks.
We are trying to dig to relieve most of the country. Any other suggestions?
